In April 2022, Ted partnered with Parks California, to witness and document the historic opening of Stone Lagoon Visitor Center at Humboldt Lagoons State Park in Northern California. this event established the first tribally operated visitor center in the US., and was A groundbreaking achievement in partnership between CA State Parks and the Yurok Tribe - the largest Native American tribe in CAlifornia. together with Tribal leaders, State Park Directors and other key players, the team visited several areas of Yurok ancestral territory, including Sue-meg State Park, further north along the Klamath River, and out to tribal ceremonial grounds.
